Wild Dreamers

In this poignant young adult novel-in-verse by Margarita Engle, longlisted for the National Book Award, two teens, Ana and Leandro, embark on a transformative journey of love and conservation. Living in their car and grappling with personal struggles, they meet in a California wilderness park, where a chance encounter with a mountain lion inspires them to create a rewilding club at their school. Their mission to build wildlife crossings not only aims to help endangered species but also reflects their hope for a brighter future amidst their own challenges.
