Climbing the Stairs

Fifteen-year-old Vidya, a girl with dreams of attending college in British-occupied India during World War II, faces unexpected challenges after a family tragedy. Relocating to a traditional household where women's education is frowned upon, she seeks solace in her grandfather's library.
