The Tower of Beggars

When Niri’s nuncle passes away, she is left homeless and destitute in the dangerous streets of Brightburgh. As a half Aeldae—descendant of the enslaving race—she finds herself both marginalized and at risk. With a unique coin that grants her access to the Stormfell Academy, famed for its magical training, Niri's dreams seem within reach; however, the coin only allows entry to the Tower of Beggars. Desperate to improve her situation, she searches the ruins at the base of Stormfell for a way to transform her fate.
