Dances of Life - and Death

"Dances of Life - and Death" is an adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s "Masque of the Red Death," reimagined as a morality play set during the Plagues and the Renaissance. Written in a third-person narrative style without dialogue, the story explores the metaphor of plague as it relates to contemporary conflicts and the plight of refugees. It critiques the responses of those in safer countries who, out of fear, close themselves off from the realities of violence and suffering, ultimately highlighting the inevitable consequences of such cowardice.
