Take Me Away

In the midst of The Great Depression, Rose, feeling trapped by her father's promise to an older Italian man, sends out a desperate plea for help from her New Jersey home. Leo discovers her heartfelt note while working at a cotton mill in Alabama and responds with an invitation for her to join him. Their encounters promise a glimmer of hope in dark times, as they both grapple with the question of whether their newfound connection can lead to true happiness or if it is merely a fleeting comfort.
