Little Knell

When Colonel Caversham passes away, he bequeaths a collection of artifacts, including a 3,000-year-old Egyptian mummy, to the Calleshire museum. Curator Mr. Fixby-Smith faces complications when local coroner Mr. Granville Locombe-Stableford insists that no body can be moved without his approval. Detective Chief Inspector C. D. Sloan is called to resolve the bureaucratic tangle, but upon opening the mummy case, the trio is shocked to discover not the ancient remains they anticipated, but the body of a recently deceased young woman.
