The Ice Maiden

In 1842, after her whaling captain husband goes missing, Karina finds herself destitute on Deception Island and disguises herself as a cabin boy to stow away on a British ship. As she develops a bond with the ship's surgeon, Joseph Hooker, their crew faces increasingly dire conditions in the harsh Antarctic environment. Amidst these challenges, Karina's journey intertwines with the exploits of some of the bravest polar explorers of the 20th century.
