A Man's Word

In medieval England, the crime-solving duo of Halfdan and his master, Winston, embark on a dangerous investigation into a plot against King Cnut involving ex-enemy Jarl Thorkell. Joined by Winston's companion Alfilda and a cranky mule named Atheling, they venture to Thetford for information but become embroiled in a tumultuous court case when a thane accused of rape dismisses the charges with a lie. Chaos ensues when the thane is found dead, flipping the narrative and placing the accuser in jeopardy. As they race against time to resolve the tangled web of justice and treason, loyalties are put to the test in this gripping tale.
