What My Body Remembers

Ella Nygaard, a 27-year-old with a troubled past marked by trauma and memory loss, kidnaps her son Alex after he is taken from her by the state. Fleeing to her birthplace in northern Denmark, she seeks refuge in her grandmother’s dilapidated house while grappling with her PTSD and the dark memories of her childhood. As she strives to prove her capability as a mother, Ella must confront painful truths about her family and the night her mother was murdered, all while questioning her father’s conviction and the secrets that linger in her past.
