In 1916 California, British vaudeville performer Warwick Easton finds unexpected opportunity when silent movie star Mack Sennett hires him as a Keystone Cop for slapstick comedy stunts. Amidst interactions with iconic figures like Mabel Normand and Roscoe “Fatty” Arbuckle, Easton's comedic role takes a dark turn as real-life tragedies unfold at the studio, including a stunt actor's suspicious death and the mysterious disappearance of his friend, actress Amber Honeybee.
