While Goss's body remained in the jungle for twenty-one days, his wife, Marty, received the agonizing news of his status as "MIA," leading her to cultivate hope for his return while raising their infant daughter, Lori Jo. As she grew up, Lori embarked on a decades-long quest to uncover the truth about her father's fate, making two trips to Vietnam and engaging with veterans to piece together the elusive story of that fateful day.
