The Guts

In "The Guts," Booker Prize-winning author Roddy Doyle brings back Jimmy Rabbitte from "The Commitments," now nearing fifty and facing a cancer diagnosis. As he navigates life with a loving wife and four kids, Jimmy uses his passion for music to find old bands and the fans willing to revive their albums. Throughout his journey in Dublin, he reconnects with old friends, explores new passions, and rediscovers the joys of fatherhood, all while balancing the themes of friendship, family, and the resilience of life.
