Baptiste: The Blade Must Fall

Set in France in 1976, this official prequel follows Baptiste, an intelligent yet somewhat naive detective tackling corruption in the town of Clermiers. When a girl goes missing and bloody clothes are discovered near an illicit party, Baptiste believes he has identified the perpetrator, eccentric Gilles Mailloux, who is sentenced to death. As the execution date approaches and a haunting realization dawns on Baptiste about the missing girl's body, he must confront the possibility that he has made a grave error.
