In 1939 New York City, private investigator Adam Paradise—who is nearly two centuries old and a creation of Victor Frankenstein—finds himself entangled in a dark mystery surrounding a serial killer targeting young women. Tasked by the Romani Vandoma Kalderash to recover a family heirloom with alleged occult powers, Adam discovers a connection between the murders and a web of criminal intrigue involving various occult objects.
