The Keeper of Lost Daughters

In 1941 Krakow, Lidia Sobieska discovers a baby girl, Sophie, abandoned on her doorstep with a desperate plea for protection from the Nazis. Unable to have children herself, Lidia vows to raise Sophie as her own, eventually taking in a thirteen-year-old Jewish girl named Eva to form a new family amid the horrors of war. As conditions worsen, Lidia's love and determination help her navigate the dangers of hiding their identities. Years later, a man claiming to be Sophie's biological father appears, challenging the family Lidia has fought so hard to protect, leading her to confront her deepest fears and fight for her daughters.
