In "The Christmas Cookie House," former bookshop keeper Leela Miller returns to Massey Falls to take care of her ailing father and to chair the Ladies’ Auxiliary Cookie House fundraiser in honor of her late mother. When the original venue falls through, she sets her sights on the Layton Mansion, recently inherited and remodeled by the handsome vet school graduate Jay Wilson. As Leela offers her help to clean out the attic in exchange for use of the mansion, tension arises when Jay realizes their plans coincide with a crucial sale deadline.
