The Odd Women

Set in a smoggy London, "The Odd Women" explores the lives of diverse heroines, including the idealistic and financially independent Mary Barfoot and the struggling Madden sisters. This early feminist work of social realism delves into significant sexual and cultural issues of the late nineteenth century, portraying women as "odd" and marginal compared to societal ideals.
