In this chilling audio rendition of Mary Shelley's classic, "Frankenstein," listeners are transported to the dark, rainy night on Lake Geneva when Shelley, inspired by a storytelling challenge from Lord Byron and Percy Shelley, crafted her horrifying tale of a monster unleashed by an unthinking scientist. Expertly narrated by British actor Clive Hayward, this 200th anniversary edition also includes a haunting rendition of Coleridge's "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner," which significantly influenced Shelley’s imagination, along with intriguing commentary by Alison Larkin.
