The New Organon

In "The New Organon," part of Bacon's influential philosophical work, "The Great Instauration," published in 1620, he introduces a groundbreaking method for investigating nature called "the Interpretation of Nature." Departing from Aristotle's syllogistic logic, Bacon advocates for an inductive approach that begins with the facts of nature to derive general principles, utilizing experimental evidence to enhance understanding. This systematic method, later known as the Baconian method, emphasizes the importance of privileged instances in refining knowledge and practical application.
