Reform or Revolution

In the 1899 pamphlet "Reform or Revolution," Rosa Luxemburg presents a critical argument against the idea that trade unions and reformist political parties can successfully lead to a socialist society, as suggested by Eduard Bernstein. From a historical materialist viewpoint, she claims that capitalism is inherently unsustainable and will ultimately collapse, necessitating a revolution for true change to occur. This influential work played a significant role in revolutionary socialist thought and laid the groundwork for left communist theory.
