Destroyer Angel

In "Destroyer Angel" by Nevada Barr, U.S. Park Services ranger Anna Pigeon embarks on a canoe vacation in Minnesota’s Iron Range with friends, including a paraplegic man, his daughter, and a designer with her own teenage daughter, who are testing new camping gear for disabled outdoor enthusiasts. However, their trip takes a dangerous turn when Anna returns from a solo float to discover that armed thugs have captured the women and girls. With limited resources and a ticking clock, Anna must devise a rescue plan to save her friends before they are lost forever.
