Aria Da Capo

L. J. Schulz's musical adaptation of Edna St. Vincent Millay’s one-act play, Aria Da Capo (Da Capo Con Musica), reimagines Millay's exploration of the post-World War I spiritual "wasteland" with a lively score blending rock, folk, gospel, and show-tune styles. The narrative unfolds with the comedic interactions of Pierrot and Columbine, interrupted by a muse of Greek tragedy and a childhood game turned tragic. With contemporary lyrics that riff on Millay’s themes, the audiobook offers both the play and music for an engaging listening experience.
