Erasmus

This audiobook delves into the life of Desiderius Erasmus of Rotterdam, who stood at the crossroads of the Reformation in 1517. Renowned for his intellectual contributions and keen insights, Erasmus advocated for reform through reason rather than revolution, yet found himself condemned by both sides during the tumultuous period. The narrative, written by Stefan Zweig as a reflection of his own struggles in the face of extremism, offers a profound exploration of the challenges faced by intellectuals amidst fanaticism and the tragic consequences of refusing to take a definitive stance.
