At Miskatonic University, a hub for the occult, student Carter Weston embarks on a quest for a fabled book, Incendium Maleficarum, that is said to control dark forces. His journey becomes entwined with four locals at a tavern in Anchorhead, whose chilling tales resonate with his mission. As Weston retrieves the book and returns to campus, he unwittingly risks unleashing unimaginable horrors, prompting him to confront unsettling truths about his university and the nature of reality itself.
