Julian lands a summer job cleaning the mansion of Mr. V, an eccentric recluse with a grotesque appearance and an obsession with arcane knowledge. Initially unsettled by his employer and the eerie terra cotta statues that inhabit the mansion, Julian grapples with a growing, inexplicable ache in his chest. As he navigates Mr. V's convoluted conversations, he begins to uncover the bizarre and horrifying secrets tied to the old man's esoteric philosophies.
