In "A Day for Rememberin'," young Eli eagerly anticipates a special day that allows him to miss school as he joins his family and a diverse crowd in Charleston for a commemorative march. Together, they honor the sacrifices made by those who fought for freedom during the Civil War, carrying mayflowers and singing in remembrance. Inspired by true events, this poignant story unveils the little-known history of what is considered the first Memorial Day, inviting listeners to reflect on the significance of remembrance.
