The Only Black Girls in Town

In Brandy Colbert's debut middle-grade novel, two Black girls, Alberta and Edie, navigate their differences and shared experiences in a small Californian town. Alberta, who has long been the only Black girl in town, embraces the arrival of Edie, a 12-year-old from Brooklyn.
