Cross of Fire

In 1362, Thomas Blackstone, once a humble archer, has ascended to the role of Edward III's Master of War after a lifetime of fighting in France. Despite his title, he faces the burden of loss, with only his son Henry surviving the violence that surrounds him. As Blackstone undertakes perilous missions to secure the King's claim, he becomes tangled in noble feuds and must confront dangerous enemies, all while a vengeful group draws nearer.
