Ethan Fargo is hired by Tight Bridge Technologies for a short-term security assignment on the tumultuous planet Endine, tasked with protecting vital power stations amid rising mob unrest. However, he quickly discovers that local authorities are obstructive, and the Galactic Patrol offers no support, leaving him to navigate a dangerous landscape filled with treachery and corruption.
