In this captivating tale, Aahz uncovers that his unassuming flea market sword is actually Ersatz, the leader of the legendary Golden Hoard—a coveted collection of magical treasures capable of transforming ordinary beings into heroes. As they embark on a quest to locate the other treasures, they encounter Calypsa, a dancer allied with Aahz's old friend Tananda, who seeks the Hoard to rescue her grandfather from the menacing wizard Barrik.
