In August 2011, an Al Qaeda operative orchestrates the theft of a nuclear warhead from Pakistan, threatening a devastating attack on a US city to coincide with the tenth anniversary of 9/11. As intelligence points to a diversion, with Washington, D.C., or New York as potential targets, Agent Brooke Chandler senses an intricate deception.
