As the Commonwealth Games light up Manchester, advertising executive Tom Benwell navigates the intense pressure of his job amidst the excitement. Meanwhile, his friend, Detective Inspector Jon Spicer, becomes engrossed in solving a series of brutal murders that disrupt the city's celebration.
