Different Racisms

In "Different Racisms," Matthew Salesses examines the distinctive racism faced by Asian Americans, addressing themes such as the model minority myth and media representation, highlighted by figures like Jeremy Lin and Psy. Through personal essays and engaging footnotes, Salesses shares his experiences as a Korean adoptee raised by white parents, delving into the complexities of double-consciousness and the realizations that arise when an adopted child confronts their racial identity.
