Watched Too Long

In "Watched Too Long," the fourth installment of the Val Ryker series, small-town Wisconsin cop Val Ryker is on the verge of moving in with her firefighter boyfriend when she reluctantly agrees to babysit for her former boss, ex-homicide detective Jacqueline "Jack" Daniels. What starts as a simple favor quickly escalates as Val finds herself managing not one but two toddlers while facing unexpected threats from Jack's criminal past, including child abduction and arson. Though inexperienced with children, Val is well-equipped to confront danger head-on.
