Nory's journey begins when her magic goes awry, leading her to Dunwiddle Middle School instead of the prestigious Sage Academy where her father is headmaster. Thriving at Dunwiddle with her friends who also have “upside down magic,” Nory faces unexpected challenges when a flood forces them to Sage Academy. There, amidst magical activities and strict teachers, she must navigate her feelings of belonging and determine if she can find her place in a world that doesn’t quite understand her unique abilities. Ultimately, Nory's adventure explores the diverse forms of magic and the importance of fitting in.
