Love and Lavender

Hazel Stillman, a fiercely independent teacher with a clubbed foot, values her freedom and career over marital prospects. When her uncle offers her a substantial inheritance contingent on marriage, she is initially offended but considers the option when rumors of her school’s sale arise. Meanwhile, Duncan Penhale, an orderly and solitary man, faces a similar predicament with the same inheritance condition.
