Awakening in a burnt-out wagon train below the Rockies with no memory of his identity, a man adopts the name Maverick, inspired by how Texans refer to unbranded cattle. Determined to forge a new life in the wild west, he faces relentless enemies on his trail, relying on his courage and sharpshooting skills to survive. As he journeys through the mountains, Maverick encounters other solitary travelers, each with their own stories and struggles.
