The Girl in Gray

In November 1939, Sini Toivola’s life in Helsinki is shattered by the Soviet invasion and the rejection from her love, Marko Linna. Seeking a fresh start, she joins the female volunteer corps, the Lotta Svärd, and serves at a field hospital near the front lines. When she encounters a lost Russian soldier, Sini faces an agonizing choice between her duty to her country and her desire to protect him, leading to consequences that will deeply affect them both.
