After the death of his father, 10-year-old Josh Leary is hesitant to accept a stuffed teddy bear from his new stepfather. Named Edgar, the bear proves to have a sinister side, reacting violently when rejected. As Josh attempts to rid himself of Edgar with the help of a friend, they unwittingly unleash a series of terrifying events, leading Josh to confront the unsettling reality that Edgar is determined to take revenge.
