Linda Almond, an interior decorator from New York City, finds herself juggling her life in Manhattan and a new home in Portland, Maine, which she intended to renovate for retirement. Despite her busy schedule and a recent solo lifestyle after losing her cats, she gets a call from her friend Janet in Maine requesting a favor: to look after a friend’s cats. This seemingly simple task sets off a series of unexpected complications as Linda navigates her new surroundings and the challenges that come with her good intentions.
