The Protector's War

In a post-apocalyptic world where survivors form tribal communities, former pilot Michael Havel leads the renowned Bearkillers in Oregon's Willamette Valley, allied with the mystical Clan MacKenzie, headed by Wiccan folksinger Juniper MacKenzie. As they work to rebuild society, they face a threat from Norman Arminger, a medieval scholar turned tyrant who has enslaved civilians and seeks to conquer the valley for himself. Unbeknownst to both factions, a ship from Tasmania carrying British soldiers is about to arrive, setting the stage for impending conflict.
