In "The First Men in the Moon," published in 1901, the narrative follows Mr. Bedford, a bankrupt businessman, and the eccentric scientist Mr. Cavor as they embark on humanity's inaugural journey to the moon. Their adventure leads them to encounter the Selenites, an insectlike race that rules over a sophisticated civilization. This gripping tale weaves together elements of excitement, humor, profundity, and tragedy, creating a beautifully crafted scientific romance. The audiobook is narrated by Greg Wagland.
