The Bostonians

Set in post-Civil War Boston, The Bostonians explores the intense rivalry between two cousins, Olive Chancellor and Basil Ransom, as they vie for the affection of the charismatic orator Verena Tarrant. While Olive, a passionate feminist, envisions Verena as a key figure in the women's rights movement, Basil, a Confederate veteran turned lawyer, is drawn to her despite their political differences. This compelling story raises questions about love, loyalty, and the struggle for women's empowerment.
