Our Friends from Frolix 8

In Philip K. Dick's satirical adventure, Our Friends from Frolix 8, society is dominated by a select group of individuals classified by their intelligence, while the majority are relegated to menial roles as Undermen. The protagonist, Nick Appleton, is an Underman who, upon learning his son has also been classified as such, begins to question the oppressive social hierarchy. His awakening is further fueled by the anticipated return of the resistance leader, Thors Provoni, who arrives with a powerful alien ally to challenge the status quo.
