Blade Runner

In the dystopian classic Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, set in a post-apocalyptic Earth ravaged by war and environmental collapse, the remnants of humanity yearn for real animal companions, leading to the creation of highly realistic androids. With these artificial beings now indistinguishable from humans, the government has banned them from Earth, forcing many to live in secrecy. Bounty hunter Rick Deckard is tasked with hunting down and "retiring" these rogue androids, who are not shy to fight back when cornered.
