Twelve-year-old Gabe Williams and 11-year-old Isabel Diaz are reluctant campers at Brown Mountain with the Outdoor Adventures Camping Club, each dealing with their own struggles—Gabe wishes he could be home with friends, while Isabel is grappling with the loss of her parents. When their camp leader shares the legend of the enigmatic Brown Mountain Lights, the kids dismiss it as a tale, but soon find themselves facing eerie encounters that challenge their fears. As a sinister light takes control of Isabel, Gabe must muster the courage to save her, while Isabel learns to trust those around her.
