In the small town of Gentry, Mackie is a Replacement, a being from a shadowy realm inhabited by the living dead, struggling to survive in a world where he is constantly threatened by fatal allergies. Longing to connect with humanity and especially intrigued by a girl named Tate, his life takes a dramatic turn when her baby sister goes missing. Drawn into Gentry's underbelly, known as Mayhem, Mackie must confront dark forces to discover where he truly belongs.
