In a galaxy torn by war, the Midnight Sun Free Company finds a brief respite on the distant planet of Tau-Rietzke after successfully acquiring three valuable Raknars. Their celebration is cut short when rival mercenary organizations threaten to seize their prized possessions, prompting company owner Gloriana to issue a high-stakes mission: retrieve the Raknars at all costs.
