Fifteen years after Ewan Stokes vanished following a football match in Ipswich, mysterious sightings of him spark a fanatical online following that believes he will return for revenge. As violence linked to the case escalates, the police worry that the online hysteria is intensifying, particularly when Ewan's ex-girlfriend, Maisie, becomes the target of sinister attacks. In response, psychologist Dr. Cora Lael teams up with the South Suffolk CID to protect Maisie, racing against time as the anniversary of Ewan's disappearance approaches.
