In the Palace of Shadow and Joy

Indrajit Twang, the last epic poet of his people, must find a successor to preserve their history before it vanishes forever. Meanwhile, Fix, a mercenary living in Kish, is grappling with personal struggles and his feelings for a woman who chose another.
